The recent COVID 19 outbreak puts both businesses and individuals in a difficult situation. This is especially serious for students and new graduates who are entering the workforce during this time. JUDE is a website/application designed for junior designers to let them explore the job opportunities.

We did a survey for graphic design students about their job search experiences and here is the summary of the result.

1. It’s hard to check the status after applying.
2. Communicating with employers is hard.
3. Each company has different preference for portfolio submission.
4. Hard to find designer positions for junior or students.

Based on the research, we wrote a problem statement for this project.

User Persona
We also built user persona based on the survey result. Karen Smith is a graphic design student looking for a job. She wants to gain some work experiences to start building her career, but most of job postings are for those who already have experience.
What is special about JUDE?
1. Focused on junior level job postings. (Entry-level, Part-time, Internship, Volunteer, etc.)
2. Customize your application easily by selecting the resume and work images within a few clicks.
3. Company reviews and portfolio page.
4. Check the application status easily.
