Project Overview
Matchful, a start-up company was planning to launch new mobile application Matchful Relationship, an event-planning app for those who are looking for spontaneous connections with new people.
My Contributions
In this project, another designer and I started interviewing the clients (company owners) to clarify the core functions. And then I defined user flows, created wireframes, and designed all UI components.
What is special about the app?
With other event planning services such as Meetup.com, users need to create or join a group first, then afterwards an event is made based on that group. The main problem with them is that users need to plan an event too far in advance and the groups can get too large.

Matchful Relationship is an event-based platform, where users can create an event first and start connecting with random people instantly. Also the app focuses on relatively small groups of people (from 2 to 10). An event organizer can accept or reject people who applied after chatting.
Find/Create an event
BBQ on the beach, playing basketball, or having a coffee at a new cafe? The app helps you know what is happening near you. Users can see what a user is seeking on his/her profile page and also filter the events based on your preferences: gender, event size or categories.
Creating an event is also quick and easy. ‘Does anyone want to go drinking tonight?’ users can post their event instantly and the event will be shown on the map. They don’t need to create a new group and organize an event far in advance.
Messages
The app will have mainly two user scenarios: 1) Find an event and start chatting with an organizer, or
2) Create an event and wait for other users to contact you. That's why I had the messages function have two tabs, 'Your Events' and 'Others events', where you can organize the messages based on events easily. Also, you can add a user to 'Favorite' if you want to keep contacting after the event, or you can delete/block users if they are bothering you.
